Try Lake Superior Provincial Park its about 2hrs. north of the Soo.Which is still a good 10hr drive from Ft. Wayne but not as far as the BWCA. 17hrs.!!!! the speed limit is 70 wally.We make to Grand Marais in 12 from Mishawaka.
