Thanks for responding. Are you the same Muskrat that I read on another popular Boundary Waters board? Mishawaka?! Have you found any other paddle/camp places around here to hold your interest? We enjoy Chain O’ Lakes State Park, in Albion, Indiana.

Yes, 17 hours. We stop for one larger meal break. In addition, there are short walks to “blow the stink off” during gasoline stops. We targeted the Big Island Lake area for this year until family reunion notice came. For us, the Manistee River trip dovetailed nicely.
