Will: Thanks for the great info you provided. Since I will be a newcomer to this area, every little bit of advice helps! Have you ever done the McAree-Pond-Gratton-Wicksteed portage? If so, how long do you think it would take to get from McAree to Wicksteed? This looks like the most direct route to Wicksteed, but I've heard it's a difficult portage. If we enter McAree at Brewers Rapids we could possibly make it to Wicksteed the first day, depending upon what time we get dropped off by our tow-in.
