Re: Camp Stoves

Of course I'm sure stoves have come along way over the years. But I wouldn't trade my whisper lite for anything. Bought it 12 years ago. As for the wind the wind shield works great. They use very little fuel. My last trip which was 6 days I only used 8oz of fuel. That was for cooking as well as two pots of coffee each day. Plus it folds up and take very little space.
The only thing I have really found with it is, it seems to use more fuel as it gets colder.
I also have an old peak stove I bought for my fisrt trip. I was really turned off with it when it leaked fuel in my pack. I had trouble with it not sealing after I filled it. Bought my whisper lite the next year and never looked back. Good Luck Greg
