Badwater is strictly a walleye & northern lake, according to all reports I've pulled together. Planned to fish it last year but had to abort. I'm relying on Furtman's "Fishing Guide" and info from two separate outfitters. Of course, I've known these sources to be "inaccurate", at times.

You could choose to make the long portage into Quetico Lake and fish West Bay for Lakers, I suppose. That's likely to be your closest lake trout option. By all accounts, however, that portage rates with some of the worst around.
