for real...october? i've been discouraged by everyone to go in october. too cold, snow blah blah. secret is i love all that. i'm a four season paddler. fortunately for me, lake michigan in milwaukee rarely freezes over totally and some rivers stay open too. winter paddling is the most peaceful time. so, back to october paddling. i turn 40 this year in october and am taking a week off. is early significantly different than later october? i know when i come back from our august trip, i will be wanting to go right back and do a solo.
