I was up last 2 years in October to BWCAW. Short trips.
I did fish. Days are shorter. Nights cool. Can sleep with
the tent open. I tried a trip this year on MAY 1, trying
to go in on Saganaga. It was 15 degrees the first morning.
I was a little chilly in my sleeping bag, but I could have
put long johns and soks on and been fine, I just wasn't
cold enough yet. I couldn't get off the lake, ice kept
shifting. It snowed the first night and most of hte
next day.
