I have had a couple of experiences in the Q with my son's scout troop and had a great time. Here's my quandry...Where to take my wife and daughter and new son-in-law and possibly my son and one of his friends. Wife and daughter like the outdoors and the whole idea of a wilderness experience, but they are not too crazy about carrying everything on their back. Is there a place in or near the boundary waters we can go and possibly stay in a cabin with reasonable access to other lakes for day trips, etc., and still get a little of the wilderness experience? I would like to at least give them a taste of the real thing. We would likely be thinking of an early August trip.
