- 4 cups Flour
- 2T Baking Powder
- 1 1/2t salt
- 1t cream of tarter
- 2T sugar OR sugar twin
- 1 cup shortening (prefer butter flavored)
- 1 qt powdered milk
Using pastry blender, mix all ingredients until texture is even. Yield 6 cup mixture. Figure 1 cup per person. Add water gradually, mixing well, until you have thick batter. Cook in hot greased skillet like drop biscuits. Turn over 1/2 way. Do NOT pat down.
For pancakes, muffins, waffles, add egg mix, or 1 egg per cup of mixture.
