MM's do ok in the heat if you keep them from getting crushed.
Also, dark semi-sweet chocolate has a higher melting point than milk chocolate.

The only candy we bring is for the diabetic...lifesavers, of course! Please note, TTC posted this, not me! I only thought it!. Seriously, the big issue with chocolate is melting. If you can keep it from melting send me your secret (winter camping does not count.) As far as how long it lasts, a lot longer than any permit will. TB
