just got back, the water level is high, flys are out already lots of ticks and skeets.Bring head nets and bug spray; it seems like the park is two weeks ahead of normal. the fishing is great smallys, pike, wallies, plastic k grubs .spinner baits (mepps chartreuse) husky jurks. small mouth are pre spawn all others post spawn. lakers were hot there was a early bug hatch and I saw a lot more minnow hatchs then normal for this time of year. I prematurely saw hatched ducks.

First of all, thanks to all who contribute to this site! I have always enjoyed reading the advice and friendly banter.
I have over the years introduced friends and students to the wonders of Quetico. This year almost everyone I have ever taken is coming along. I am entering Cache Bay with a group of 9! (Wish me luck).  It has been over 10 years since I venture to this extreme end of the park. I was hoping someone who visited this area this year could give us some info on fishing, water levels, fishing, bugs, fishing, fire conditions, and fishing.  Smiley
