gabbro will be a nice bet. one semi long, easy, downhill portage leads to a beautiful lake. there are plenty of large campsites and the fishing can be pretty good. nice daytrips to bald eagle and beyond exist if you get the urge to gitty up and go.

I am planning a family trip for this August and was looking for a suggestion on where to go :question There will most likely be 2 adults and 4 kids (5,7,9,11).  I have been there several times and the 3 older kids have been there once or twice. But would anyone have a recommendation on entry point. I am currently looking at EP# 6 - Slim lake to Hook, EP#14 to Shell, EP 23 Mudro, and EP#33 to Gabbro. Swimming is important, and big campsite. Fishing would be nice, they aren't to concerned with what they catch. We are flexible with dates in August and Mudro and Gabbro have some random dates open. Some bigger campsites with decent swimming is probably key. And then we will probably make some day trips, it will probably be a 4 day trip.

Previously I have taken the older ones from EP#37 to Kawaschong (sp?) and EP#16 to Agnes.

Thanks for the help
