I've read your stories---I doubt this portage would stack up against some of the ones you have done in the past. Plus it is the only hard one on the whole route. But it is gem none-the-less.

Looks like a candidate!

Of course, there is every possibility our 2010 route will hold twenty such portages... just 300 miles further north of the border.  So, you might not have to wait another entire year to actualize your perverse-portaging pleasures.

What do I care, anyway?  My plan is to let YOU clear the path....

Has anyone been up to Raven in the last few years (post blow) looking for current information regarding the route in and out and location of old campsite; as it is on my bucket list. Yes, I know that it is Primitive Use Area. Wondering if any of you have an older map showing the campsite. Thinking about an early spring trip, and some will know what that means! I am all eyes/ears...PM me if that works better for you
