The existing templates haven't changed so if you previously switched to a different template, that choice remains intact. Two new selections were added and the default was switched to the selection named 'paper' if you want to see what the new default looks like. Sorry for the confusion.
The selection named 'experimental' is the same as 'classic' except with Comic Sans MS for the messages font as I recall. Personally, beyond the folksy feel it's more readable for my ageing eyes and monitor.

Nope! I won't even notice. Use whatever one you feel like, change anytime. It really makes no difference on my end.
The reason for the change was to provide 'guests' with bread crumbs into the rest of QJ. So often I'll get a "Hey I didn't know that was there..." from someone who's been around for a while. Plus now it looks more like the rest of the site.

It just took me by surprise db and woke me up this morning. Next I was wondering if it was April fools day joke and I was looking for the word "Topeka." I like the old format and most likely will revert back to the "Classic" format. It's just easiler for me to find stuff, but as long as everyone has their own choice, that's great.
The default template has been changed due to visitor feedback. Member groups including "Duffer" can return to using the original default (now referred to as "Classic") template by clicking Profile > Modify > Options and then down at the bottom, where it says "Which template would you like to use?" ...selecting "Classic" and then clicking change profile.
There are some additional options in the list for folks to try as well.
Feel free to complain if I messed something up and no, the dust hasn't settled so speak up.
