Arctic is right they could be deep in early Sept - Last time we were on Blackstone it was about that time of year we guesstimate we were about 80 ft down jigging - Just remember to treat this fish carefully from those depths.
You can PM me and I can show you a couple of holes worth jigging once or twice in Blackstone.

Lakers will be deep in early September. The biggest challenge will be finding them. Then jig deep. Blackstone is a nice lake. It's surprising how much attention it has received in recent years.

I'm taking a trip during labor day to blackstone lake via silver falls. (river rt.)
A few years ago I remember seeing some trout like fish in the pools of silver falls. Anyone know what type of fish these were? Don't think they were whitefish.
Anyways- anyone have any lake trout tips for blackstone lake for that time of year?
Any commentary about fishing along that route would be appreciated.
