Same preferences as the OP.
Colour will change until the fish hit.  One year red & white worked best, another it was blue & silver...

I've always been partial to the Little Cleos.  In the Q I tend to like the gaudier colors- the yellow/orange or the green/yellow.  Of course the old blue/silver and green/silvers have taken plenty of lakers too.

My dad has always been partial to the Krocodile spoons with the prism tape on them.

Spoons are always a good option for casting from the campsite, especially if it's windy and you can't throw body baits very well.
