In all honesty he was a great man who had great things thrust upon him.

My only information regarding George's nautical carreer involve him essentially in the princess seat.   Cheesy

Yes I agree,

My mistake......

I seen the "Happy Thanksgiving" post and dropped it in. Interesting from my perspective that Thanksgiving was not intended as a holiday to give thanks to the native americans for helping the pilgrims weather that first cold winter as I was taught in school but rather a day of thanks to almighty God.

But lets turn the discussion towards the Quetico as it should be........Do you think George Washington would like to paddle in the Q?  Wink

Take it to the OT lounge please.  Your religion & politics have nothing to do with Quetico Discussion.

I thought it interesting to go to the origins of Thanksgiving and see what the originators of the holiday had to say. How far we have fallen. Read the words of of a truly great man.

Just want to wish all of you in paddle land a Happy Thanksgiving!  I am thankful for so much, but nothing more than the Lords protection, the servicemen and women who protect us, and family, freinds, and dogs! Smiley
Have a Very Blessed Thanksgiving!
