Just thought I would pass this on.........it may be especially helpful to those who have younger more inexperienced anglers along.

But I do carry one as they are certainly small and light and can improve your situation should your top eyelet suffer damage or even get broken.

Kids will often reel lures or even fight fish right up to the top eyelet and kick out the insert. Heat the damaged eyelet to remove it and then just screw one of these in place. Works well........
