Delormes new device (at least I think its fairly new) has quite a bit to offer with plans as low as $9.95 per month. Sounds about right to me. Service is provided by iridium which is supposed to be tops. A step below a SAT phone but seems a step up from a SPOT.

I found confirmation that it will do two-way stand alone texting under the virtual keyboard heading on the lower right of page. IMO a very useful addition.

I read the page but is it telling me that only preset texts are sent to regular contacts? There is something about real two-way text for the SOS. Competition is heating up in this field!! (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links)
