Park1 -- Let me know if you find anything (portages, sites, etc) notable, and I'll pass it on to my friend.

I've been on this route before, and it's a good one.  Have a great trip.

My buddy asked me to post this....he's looking for a 4th guy for a QP trip he's planning in August.  You can PM me if you're interested and I'll put you in touch with my friend.

Details:

Looking for fourth person (to share a canoe), other three paddlers have considerable backcountry experience.  This is a loop trip that starts and ends at the Beaverhouse Lake entry point. I have attached an image of the proposed route.  We enter Quetico PP on Saturday August 16 -- driving up early that morning.  We come out the next Saturday, August 23.  Plan to be back in the north metro area by evening.  The route has about 36 water miles, 23 portages.  Most portages are quite short.  There is one long portage between Badwater and Quetico Lakes.   Probably, will travel each day with a two day stay over on Bent Pine Lake. I estimate the individual cost of the trip at about $200 (includes trip food and park fees.
