That is awesome!! My wife is in the habit of sending me reports each day to my Globalstar Sat phone. It is a perk that allows me to work around the weather. Might as well take advantage of that tailwind before it turns to a head wind in the morning. Wink I need to try this out. I have a weather radio but do not think it would be of much use once you are very far out from civilization.

That's neat.  But why not just take a weather radio?

I always take a satellite phone on my canoe trips, in case of emergencies. The sat phone can receive text messages free. I have tried to get family or friends to text me the weather forecast but it never works very well so I created a website to automatically send a weather forecast text message to a satellite or cell phone.
