It has been more than 15 years ago but I found it and I think there was a bicycle and some canoes there.  I was told it was cut by the Powell family and comes out in their back yard and it is considered private land. The end of that bay and all of the portage is not in Quetico.

Nanda,

Last year I did a solo into Saganagons. I set it up with Seagull Lake Outfitters to pick me up on Saganaga  and I was going to use the approx. 2 mile portage  called Stroll in the Woods portage that would take me from Gons to Saganaga . I usually get a tow from Hook Island but instead thought I may get an extra day of fishing in and go out via Stroll in the Woods.

Well, the day before I was to exit Gons I thought I would try to find Stroll in the Woods portage. I was unsuccessful....I never did find it. I searched the shoreline and woods all around the back end of the bay it was supposed to be., but never did find it.

I ended up going all the way back to Cache Bay and had Janice call Seagull Outfitters to pick me up on Hook Island.

Someday I will find it. I was a little reluctant to tackle a 2 mile portage but I heard that it was not too bad just long.

It is labelled "Stroll Through the Woods Portage" on this map: photos.bwca.com/b/BOBBERNUMBER3-100712-142835.JPG

From what I have learned, it's called "Dickie's Portage".

Can anyone point me to a map or online GIS that has this portage on it? I'd never heard of it until last summer but had no idea where it was/is located.
