Just so there is no confusion, there is only one genuine 'Old Salt' on QJ. Do not be fooled by cheap imitations. Always insist on the real persona. Anything less will lead to heartache and severe disappointment. Wink

Sorry I missed you this time, OS!!

The funny things was, when I saw the canoe on top of the car next to mine with "Old Salt" on it, my first thought was what a coincidence that there's another 'Old Salt' canoeist. It never occurred to me it would the one and only real Old Salt, until I turned around and saw Snowdog across the street! Probably was the most fortunate encounter they had that whole trip  Smiley

One never know where ml will turn up next...

A fair question to be sure. The reference to MuleLars is to a chance encounter we had in downtown Grand Marais a couple of years ago when neither of us knew the other would be there. He found my canoe which had the unique words 'old salt' by the stern seat.

The reference to finding a place is that several here know that Linda and I have been diligently searching for the past five years for a vacation/retirement place on the North Shore. This week, we found our 30 acres on one of the best waldo lakes and deer hunting areas in NE Minnesota. It's about 10 miles north of Lutsen. Things are in process for a purchase. If everything works out, we will start site prep for a new place later this year. Cool

And no sign of MuleLars or any other QJers. Too bad, cause the weather has been great, the scenery awesome, and in the near future (1-2 years), we'll have a place up here on a great fishing lake. Cool
