Tomato powder is dehydrated tomatoes ground up. Perhaps it's the sodium in the prepared sauce that. Check the ingredients. 14 hours seems long but not a lot.

On trips I drink tons... And I feel better typically then.
I think you answered your own question When your tripping or exerting yourself, your CONSCIOUS of the need to stay hydrated.
I have to remind myself to drink frequently too. I have a gallon jug I keep in the refrigerator, my goal everyday is to have most or all of it gone before I go to sleep.

I have to go out of my way to drink enough water. On trips I drink tons... And I feel better typically then. My water is kind of irony, so I fill a jug across the lake at my dad's, now sisters place. The water there is awesome.

Most people are de-hydrated whether they realize it or not during the winter months because since your not sweating as much you don't think you need to drink as much. I doubt the powdered veggies are the culprit unless your not adding enough water when you use them? I'd ask your doctor about the blood thinners and any other medication you take? Unless your meds cause a change of urine color, the rule of thumb is you drink till you pee as clear as possible still holds true warm or cold weather.

Example... Instead of dehydrating spaghetti sauce I've been making it with powdered tomatoes. My question, does a person have to drink more water when using things powdered like that? I've been trying it out a lot this winter and I can't get enough water. Coincidence? I was on blood thinners up until last week. I like the powder because spaghetti sauce for instance took me fourteen hours to dehydrate and still weighed more than my powdered concoction. I'm trying powdered and freeze dried cheese, powdered butter... All kinds of stuff I've found.
