All small water so that's good. I'd head south to that area just below dams fro Gabbros - a lot of nice sites and far enough away for a holiday weekend - which will be busy. Return through Clear, or vice a versa.

Hi All,
I'm a newbie here but a relative veteran to the BWCAW (15 trips or so). I'm taking my wife (her 2nd trip there) over Labor Day. Entering at EP29. This EP allows only one permit per day, and I grabbed it (anyone know why so few? Just curious). Looks like some people come this was from Lake One (EP30). I'm OK with the 190-rod portage (ok it'll suck a little) from Triangle Lake into the North Kawishiwi River, but wondering what to expect after that.  We'll be base camping and exiting the same way. Anybody have experience in this area? Campsite or fishing tips? Any information is welcome. Thanks.
