There is nothing inconsistent with a vegetarian fishing. The problem would arise if the fish died or if the vegetarian wanted to eat the fish. In other words to be consistent a vegetarian would have to practice catch and release and only use artificial lures.

Greetings, If you have a layover day available you might want to linger at Brent. I have been through there several times and have always enjoyed Brent. If you are camped on the larger bay East, it is a short portage into Conmee. Makes a nice day trip. Regards, MossBack

The portages from Brent to Darkwater are "interesting" you can read about them in the Portage Data Base (PDA).

Welcome aboard veggykurt Do you mind if I call you vk? Has to be a story behind the handle or is it as clear as it sounds. Lot's of good info here and more than a few dedicated solo paddlers as well as tandem folks and real serious fishermen too. Check out the trip report section IF you haven't already.
