Yep, and us humans think WE have problems.  It's survival mode 24/7 for both of those species.  That moose needs a cold beer and a soft leather chair.  Maybe a xanax.  Smiley

I was impressed with how long that wolf hung on and was wondering why it was occasionally looking at the shoreline while later continuing the chase. The end of the video made me wonder if one wolf was thinking why didn't you help me get dinner and the other was thinking well, I wasn't all that hungry for moose meat at the moment and you just went for it w/o asking.

From the video, it almost appears at some point the moose looked like it was confused to where the wolf was?
As you say a moose has a thick hide. The wolf was swimming and biting with no leverage at all.

Stupid Moose - why didn't it just go for deeper water where it could easily have outswum the wolf - instead it stayed in shallower water where the wolf had a chance at it.  Even if it had stayed where it was at first, in the very shallow water, it could easily have stomped the wolf - seems like it did the worst thing.  Moose hide is at least a 1/4" thick, so probably little or no damage to the moose.

That lone wolf had Cajones but unless the moose was injured/ sick it never stood a chance.
