It will be my first time to WCPP and I still haven't figured that out, but hoping to fly into west/central area and paddle out to maybe Leano, but looking at options.

You might take a look at the Canadian Wildfire Map to help you make a decision on your route.

boonie.....where ya headed.  Our plan is to fly into Burntwood and then down the Dutch R to Thicketwood then up the Sabourin R to Bigshell.  While on Burntwood I might try going north towards Mimi and see how far I get.  There's a "circle" of lakes south of Mimi that look like they want to be explored.

Stay safe........

Yeah.  I got a note from WCPP saying the same thing.  Park is open to backcountry travel.  The border still remains closed.  I'm hoping for an Aug. 25th entry into WCPP.  Grandnephew is going along.  Had our first planning meeting ytd.

Stay safe.........

Yup.  I got my cancellation for June 14 yesterday and my refund from the deposit/fees.  You can go, but you have to be a local.  I don't think coming from another province would fly, much less the US side.  That and the border is still closed even if the park is open.  I went to the reservation site to try to get something in for late July and all entry points for all days show unavailable at this point.  Trying to stay optimistic....

I was notified by email on Friday that my June 9 reservation had been cancelled. They don't want us quite yet.

The Ontario Parks website says they are opening Quetico to Backcountry camping as of June 1. It also says, that those with reservations should "proceed". Limit is 5 instead of 9, unless all are from the same household. Does not specifically address the border situation, unless my reading comprehension has suffered during this pandemic.
