I put together a free digital map that will work with any color Lowrance Fish Finder manufactured in the last 10 years or so. (Sorry Garmin and Humminbird users)

If you happen to have used such a unit in Quetico, you have probably quickly realized that the built in mapping is a mess, particularly when it comes to the Canadian side of the border.  I would swear Picasso himself did some of the work, with the erratic lake outlines.  This map is aimed to fix that with mostly government provided data,  Paddle Planner/PCD data for the Campsites and Portages and much much more.

If you have a supported unit, I would urge you to check it out, it's free.  I have included a detailed readme file in the download with some more information and suggestions for setup.  The main thing is you need a decent speed SD card(V30) which must be formatted as FAT32 and then just unzip the downloaded file(only 46 MB) and copy the map folders to the card and insert.

The download is hosted as part of my recently created online storefront, so you will need to add the free map to your cart and check out with a zero balance.  Apologies for this extra step.  This prevents others from simply hotlinking the files.

Enjoy!

Comments and suggestions for improvements are welcome.
