	Opening the image itself in a new window is the easiest way to get the URL of the image. Your URL is for the page. On most MAC browsers it's "open image in a new window." (Option click and/or hold and wait for the menu - I forget what key command my right click adds) In Firefox, (MAC or WIN) right click on the image and select "view image" or better yet "copy image location." Then you can just paste it from your clipboard. In Windows Explorer, right click on the image and select "properties." You should be able to select and copy the image URL from that properties window. I'm not very familiar with Windows. Perhaps someone knows an easier way??

	Thanks db, it works. If I copy the url from the properties page I get the complete address including file type. I tried it (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links) and it worked fine. I can't believe how much time I spent (wasted) figuring this out

	Preview is a wonderful tool that works pretty much anywhere.

	I tried linking to photos in a yahoo group some time ago & that didn't work either. I signed up with photobucket (free at the level I needed) and that worked for linking pics in my last trip report. I'm sure there are a bunch of free photo hosting sites like photobucket & I'm not even sure I remember that name right - maybe it's imagebucket... -Tom

	YEAH! For those who are new at this, I signed on at photobucket.com. below each picture you post on their site, there is a URL link, HTML tag and an image code. I just copy the image code and paste it into my forum message and it magically appears. (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links)
