Shocked help !

You are beyond help.

You may wish to bring some form of a recorder, as it will be five years before we give you sincere, face to face, smoke to smoke, falling through the screens of our tents, council, again.

I have my words of council memorized.

You are beyond help, Stumpy.  This is "why" the jug exists.

An Idea !
Kevlar tent screens....for those really big mosquitoes & Jamboree wild nights.

Thanks, Stumpy!   I needed some new material....

***************************************

Dey's kevlar in da screens
Dey's gas in da beans
In Stumpy's World by the pond, it seems.

Smoke to smokes,
Dey be telling der jokes,
Dose voyageurs, dose Bushwhack folks!

In 55 days
Over campfire haze
Dere's boys slappin' bugs by da firepit blaze!

SO COME ONE, COME ALL
HEED JIMBO'S CALL
OF JAMBOREE FUN, FOR ONE AND ALL!!

*************************************

More "Voyageur Rap", inspired by Stumpy, brought to you by:

I'm pretty sure I preferred Jimbo's pre-Rap style better.

Stumpy, camping is like life.
You can't pick your neighbors.
Of more use to me,
Than a kevlar screen,
Is a soundproof tent.
That's where the big bucks are.
If Stumpy and Jimbo tell jokes, and no one hears them,
did they make a sound?
We've got to get this act marketed somehow.
They may not be Red Green,
But they are Blue Yellow.

After much thoughtful reflection, a further maturing of spirit, a yearning to "move on" with my creative development, much hate mail, and three headless pink flamingoes appearing at my door step (Old Salt, how did you get my address???), I have decided to move forward into my "post-Voyageur Rap" era of expression.  Besides,  "Voyageur Rap" is so, so, so... "yesterday".  And, as we all know, Jamboree is more about the possibilities of tomorrow.  Or, to be more precise:

55 DAYS FROM TOMORROW, WHEN THE LOST FLOCK SHALL QUIETLY GATHER IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE TO LISTEN TO A WHITE SOX STATION ON THE RADIO THAT CAN'T BE HEARD ANYWAY & TALK & JOKE ABOUT NOTHING THAT IS GOING TO BE AUDIBLE THROUGH THE SOUNDPROOFING IN THE KEVLAR-SCREENED TENTS.  COME ONE, COME ALL, & LEND ME YOUR EARS... BECAUSE IT APPEARS I AM GOING TO NEED THEM.

OS,

I figured you were leaving me an offer I couldn't refuse.

In fact, I'm surprised I didn't wake up screaming to find the headless flamingo lying beside me in bed when I woke up in the morning... a shocking bloodless, plastic mess.

That's OK.  I take the hint.

Ultimately, I believe "Voyageur Rap" simply appeared before "its time".  Perhaps Jamboree will serve as a kind of "cultural festival"... an incubator for like-minded artistes.  From that fertile birthplace, the movement may spread first to coffee houses & small bait shops along the border around the Rainy River.  From there?  Who knows....

Anyway, guess what?

IT'S ONLY 52 DAYS, ETC. & SO ON....

Jimbo, don't confuse me with your other ''friends''. Wink
It was HoHo who said he liked pre-rap Jimbo better.
It was Stumpy who sent you the headless phlamingos. I'm sure he intended it as a warning, since you ''fowled'' his intended intimate gathering with wild promises of ''door prizes'', and furthur threatened everyone with singing and jokes. Sir Stump has his own agenda (sordid stories to tell). Now he's wondering if he'll get an edge in wordwise, if you show. My sage advice, my friend, is to back off, and let whatever happens (nothing much) happen. My reference to the soundproof tent must have been misunderstood.  Grin GrinIt was simply to protect other campers (and wildlife) from my snoring. Ask Snowdog if you doubt this. 8) 8)
