I just noticed that the QJ "odometer" rolled over to 20,000 last night.  That's a lot of great information, humor, advice, and a little weirdness as well.  Best of all, I have made many new friends here who share my addiction.  I'm glad I discovered this great resource and thanks to all who contribute!

My rudimentary calculations show that DentonDoc gets the honor for making the 20,000th post:

Jeff -

Do you have the MapSource Topo Canada V2.0?

If so, you should be able to import the PCD stuff to MapSource and then upload to your GPS (see directions on other GPS thread).  Mapsource will insure the format is correct for your GPS.

OK.  So what is the door prize?  (I'm holding my breath in anticipation!)   Grin Shocked Grin

BTW:  I agree with SnowDog.  Congrat's everyone for participating in the board and continuing to make it the invaluable resource I recognized the first time I dropped in here.

OK, I’m confused. (news flash, right?) on the QJ Rendezvous page, I looked at the bottom for total posts, and before this one I see 19,926.  ??? What happened to the other 74? Is someone trying to rig this so he can get those fabulous prizes?

The board displays the number of posts you can access. Therefore moderators, Inukshuks, members, guests... will all see something a little different. Anyway, it's the quality that counts.

Sounds like we'll need more than one prize then. Anyone have a number of similar items that could be used as prizes?

Thanks for the clarification. Now I'll get on to other things that confuse me.

For those of you who keep score.

I judiciously deleted another 25 or so "stale" members a few nights ago. By stale I mean members who haven't even visited for well over a year (tempered by other participation criteria). I've been doing this occasionally all along.

Yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to also modify the "Total Members" count label to read "Total Active Members" to reflect that. It makes a difference IMO. More is not always better. The list is clean enough as it stands.

Hey - We all try to pack lighter, be more efficient and/or at some point eventually end up questioning why we carry those we've come to know as complete duffers. It's obvious some are never going to come back anyway so I see no need to carry the names of those who were somewhat interested at one time but are not any longer.

Just trying to keep this campsite reasonably clean.
