More or less a memoir of growing up as a hunter and fisherman. Focuses on family trips "upnorth" that include stories in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Kulpa reminds me of Gene Hill (another fine writer) and his stories are nostalgic, sometimes funny, sometimes sad. But always his stories expose the rejuvinative powers of nature on a man's soul. A really good book.
