The brief time I have spent on QJ has already paid rewards for me. A modest contribution has allowed me access to campsite evaluations and the messaging that has occurred from helpful longtime members has already influenced this summers trip. I am a planner and now I have an almost endless source of information and entertainment. After all, just how many HOURS can you spend staring at maps?? Shocked

I had never even heard of canoecopia before now and now I can't wait until next year. The speaker line up looks great. A wee little mini vacation. Sounds fun.

Anyway, a bit of thanks is in order.

I should point out that (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) is available to everyone. While he went out of his way to add some Inukshuk perks to it, it's basically very useful to everyone no matter how it's accessed.

mastertangler - As I write this you have 28 posts so if that's what you mean by "contribution" you are correct sir!

FWIW - The monetary donation idea was originally aimed at lurkers as they remain the vast majority of people who visit this forum. The idea was conceived as an easy way for me to exit gracefully them to give back. Due to the caliber of those who actually donated (yeah I made a mistake), I applied the Inukshuk term to those who donated. It's a fitting description for most to this day and I hate to dilute the pool at this point by asking.

Other than accessing some areas of QJ that lurkers cannot, the rewards mentioned (IMO),   like I always tell my daughter before hockey practice - while there's a lot to be learned by watching coach and certain better players, falling down is the fastest way for her to learn right now and if she ain't flying she ain't trying. (Meanwhile this old man has so far gained a bum wrist and a really, really sore tailbone attempting to prove the point.)
