That's a really effective mist shot this morning.  Lovely.  Thanks!

Doug -

Great collections of photos!  Looking forward to what comes next.

BTW:  Thanks for letting me hang at your place on my way north this summer.  You are a most gracious host!  Loved meeting the fam.  Hopefully we'll have another opportunity to share a Q campsite again before too long.

I'm wondering if this is the campsite Denton Doc stayed at. If so, was there the name carving in the trees and peeled bark off the otherwise beautiful birch trees when you were there? Otherwise an awesome campsite.

If DD stayed where I think he did, then the grove of birch COULD be that campsite.  What seems unfamiliar to me, however, is the "furniture".  That would be a new development since 2009.  We cleaned that site up a good bit last year but added no log seating.

I stayed on the "peninsula" site this year (as well as last).  This picture looks VERY familiar.  However, like you said, some of the "furniture" looks new, even from my June trip.

Ben -

Eureka Timberline tent with vestibule?  I've got a 4-man version of that plus the front-end "cooking fly" as well.  But its a bit too heavy for my solo travels these days.

Yep, that's a two man timberline w/ vestibule. My son got the 4 man version but like you, to much weight for me. I've used them for the thirty plus years I've been paddling.

And yep, this is on the peninsula across from the island campsite. It was a large area with several good tent site possibilities if I didn't take up have the space for my rain fly. The site was an easy paddle to some great fishing.

Jimbo... I was going through your pics from last year and #10 is not Paull Lake as it's labeled but from this campsite on Mex Hat. I have the exact picture three times... Once in the day, once a sunset and one morning shot.  Grin I can't remember if I submitted it.
