I was hoping that someone here who could post a picture or two of their canoe setup with compass and/or GPS/fishfinder setup.  I saw a great picture once of a setup that look really nice along with instructions on how it was designed and set up to work.   I think it was from the Paddler's dot Net forum, but not sure.   If there is a thread or pics somewhere I here, maybe post a link for me.  I tried doing a search but could not find anything definitive.

thanks,

Kenny

You can see a picture of my set-up here. [http://www.canoestories.com/creeks_trails/creeks_trails.htm]

It is a Garmin bike mount. I take the GPS off before exiting canoe. I only turn the GPS on when I need to and will only use 2-3 sets of batteries in a month long trip.

This has evolved over the years but I still prefer this setup to any portable locaters
