10 new campsites added by paddlers are now in the PCD.

They are numbers 583 thru 585, and numbers 587 & 588.

Lakes affected are: Crooked, Hurlburt, Cutty, Quetico, Batch, Cirrus, Pickerel, Pick. Narrows, Ranger Bay(Basswood) and North Bay.  --OldGreyGoose

I looked at the statistics of the PCD and found this interesting.  The PCD started taking posts around 7 years ago and in that time there have been over a 1000 posts.  That is around 150 per year.  While that seems like alot, after 7 years, the PCD has posts for only 35% of the listed campsites.

My original post should have read "578 thru 585" . . .

It's a shame that so few paddlers share their opinions on campsite amenities.  --Goose

Oh we/they do.  The word "please" goes a long way around here.

PJ: I was referring strictly to paddlers not entering portage ratings/descriptions in the PCD. I was not referring to the awesome sharing of info through Q/A in the forums or by e-mail. (I have received much info on campsites after asking politely.) There could be a WHOLE LOT more shared through the PCD if only we/they would do it!  Smiley  --Goose

Although, it could be broken since the last move. I still care a little. I have no way of knowing until the server complains of a thwarted hack attack or real person failing. Spammers can't find it and real people have learned the hard way not to stick there toes out there unprotected.
