All -

I may be visiting McIntyre this summer for the very first time ever.  The wife MAY be in tow.  We would have a Bottle EP.  Any thoughts re: the EASIEST approach (I'm thinking portage-wise) to McIntyre coming from this direction?

All responses will be appreciated.

The easiest way, not the quickest, is to paddle to Moose bay, then Robinson, Cecil, Deer, to McIntyre...

Your pink sail will make the trip down Crooked a breeze...

Kind of what I figured might be the case.  Thanks, OS!

I'm making the same trip this year at the end of May. I was planning on getting a tow to Lincoln Island and then head up through Nest and then thru Side and Sarah. I think I can make that in one day, even with some of the tough/wet portages and hills. I considered going up through Kett from Basswood and then thru Tuck, but haven't decided yet.

Not sure about the database, but there is an AWESOME site, with large expanses of flat rocks, on the west/northwest side of the lake.  It used to have a moose skull hanging on a tree....not sure if it's still there.  I always thought that would be one spot I would enjoy base camping from.  Have a good trip!
