	Oooh... that looks like it had an undesirable outcome. I once had a nice brand new Sawyer Solo (Autumn Mist)wrap itself around a rock. The power of water is surprising to the uninitiated. Respect is my mandate now.

We wanted to get to the western edge of the lake, to the Manitoba border, where the Woodland Caribou Park abuts the Atikaki Provincial Park. This fishing boat was stuck in the rapids that necessitated the portage. On the other side of the portage we saw three or so fishing boats with small (20HP) outboards fishing the riffles. 	We didn't spend the night there, just a lunch stop. Today you can see it was built into the side of a hill and how big it was. Just enough for some shelter. The river made a bend there so the surrounding hills blocked the winds on 3 sides. These pictures are from 3 different trips, Back, Coppermine, and an unnamed river north of Baker Lake kind of paralleling the Meadowbank.
