I think you're right jimmar.  P-humpers (as they are called in the biz) spawn in May when surface temps are at around 50*.  Immediately after the photo shoot, it slithered up the shoreline and at about 100' from the waters edge, emitted the most foul cloud of spawn . . . nevermind.

Thanks Spartan2; the Swans were pretty far away for my 200mm lens; I think I need to borrow that nice long distance lens that you use for wildlife.   We usually see Swans on our Fall trips.  Minnesota has been very successful in re-establishing them with the non-game wildlife program.
