Mergansers???, Common, Red-Breasted, or Hooded, listed larger to smaller. I saw some Common & Hooded Mergansers on the river yesterday and I'm near a similar Lat as Chicago.

MP, If you ever want to see tons of Sand Hill Cranes try Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area south of you in Indiana in the fall. I'm not sure if they group there in the spring.

Hope no one is holding their breath...Only 17 degrees for a high today (wind chill to be 0 degrees) and was in the -20's last night.  Cry Shocked Angry  AND more snow forecast for Thursday.
