The Pink Phlamingo stew was masterful. You will never have anything like it. Those who consumed it will never forget it. How many other meals have you had which are remembered with such fondness 10 years later?

When he first started rating campsites I was thrilled for selfish reasons.  I was going to Insula and suddenly could read details of every site on the lake.  But I've come to adopt ST's thinking that this info is wrong to put out there on several levels. 

As for Stu - he doesn't bother me.  I am thrilled the day I get my mag in the mail.  He's got his take on things and it just doesn't bother me.  I get what I can from the articles and pics and file it.  IOt's way better than no mag at all.  And a pic of mine made the cover in 2002.  Kinda cool even though I couldn't hold Lynda's jockstrap as a photographer.

Well, the earlier pic of the kid - the one with him holding the big LT - DID rate a full page in the BWJ.  It ran with my story, "Fishing With Charlie" a few years back.  The kid in the pic is Charlie, a 16 year-old, valedictorian of his large graduating class and, at the time, my next door neighbor.  He had never been camping before but enjoyed fishing, so I talked him into it when my paddling partner copped out on me that year.

The pic is taken on the Darky River, en route to Minn, but well before you reach Andrews Creek.  A very large moose cow had just swam across in front of us... probably scrambling to get away from the pack of wolves that serenaded us the night before.

Charlie was having a pretty good time!
