We had been paddling into the wind all day, nothing fierce, but making us work.  We had been at camp about 5 minutes, and I asked my brother "Did the wind really sit down as soon as we hit camp?"  He replied "It sure did!"  We laughed, and 2 minutes later the storm hit.  Due to our campsite facing East, we never saw it coming.  Yesterday's and today's pictures were taken just after the storm passed.  We got the tarp almost set-up before it hit, I had my tarp up for my hammock, so I rode out the storm under it in my Helinox, my son and brothers were huddled under the tarp with all our gear, holding one side of the tarp since it wasn't up yet.  I didn't really feel bad about it though!

Fantastic picture, What did you use to take that one? With your permission it may just bump my son's old CC ski picture from my screen saver. Cheesy

Ditto to what Fallguy has said.

Your pic is outstanding!

I have a file with pictures I rotate around as screen savers/desktop images. Your POD will be the best of the lot.

Came here to post the same thing - amazing shot!

As an amateur photographer, how do you capture something like this? I've been watching the show Alone, and they get a lot of what appears to be time lapse with this level of night sky detail. I have no idea how to do that.
