Since you've converted to hi-tech kayak fisherman from cruiser canoe guy, maybe you'd be interested in a, um, high-tech "accessory" for your new vessel? Check this out:
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) . I understand that lots of folks use them with kayaks.
It just so happens that I have one on hand. It's in at least as good a condition as your Vexilar fish finder. And guess what? I'd be willing to trade it, straight-up, for your Vexilar... which I see you have listed "for sale" in the gear-for-sale forum. Unbelievable, huh?
Of course, you'd have to be able to deal with its high degree of luminescent "pinkness." Well, that's an advantage, right? At least you wouldn't be lost at sea when, er... I mean 'if', you ever get blown where you don't wish to go. No way the rescue team couldn't find you!
Anyway folks, you can plainly see that, if I am willing to part with a treasured family heirloom for it, a Vexilar fish finder is clearly worth its weight in gold. At $50 it's a real steal!
