	Thanks ST, Jimbo! I did not even know I caught the raven in the shot until I reviewed the shots of the moon. That one was, as cool as it is, pure luck and it could not have been timed better. Note that it was also a single shot, not a video or series, which makes the timing even more incredible. I'm off to Alaska tomorrow for the next two weeks on our Scout trip. Hope you all enjoy the the pd series.

	Another great POD I've seen plenty of turtles on logs but never that many and lined up like that.

	Thanks much P.J. Judging from my last two fall trips that involved fishing I am a complete incompetent who no longer has the patience to deal with the inevitable equipment malfunctions nor the eye sight necessary to make the knots.

	I'm not so sure I like bridges like this. When they deteriorate it seems to be quite treacherous carrying a load over them. I prefer just logs laid on the ground so as not to sink in the muck. Much less chance of an accident.

	It's been my experience that the bridges built like this were because they're in areas that are prone to deep water when they flood. Logs laid just on the ground will float away. I agree that when they're bad they are more than a little treacherous. The few times I've fallen in mudholes was when a rotted log on the ground gave way or on a bridge like this. Luckily I was able to "turtle" and the only thing I hurt was my pride.

	That's a great shot today, Portage Dog! I have a lot of merganser photos, but always in the water. All those ducklings on the rock make for a really neat pose! I can just imagine the photographer lining them up, "Now you sit here. . .over here a bit, everyone stay in your row, hold still!"
