I went back and read some of the previous posts.  I am sure it has to do with the size of your files.  My email program with Frontier will send attachments with pretty large files.

But I also often resize my files down to 1 MB or so before I try to send them.  I have an easily downloaded program that will resize files quite small, but of course you lose clarity when you do that.  I don't actually remember if I resized this last group or not.  I probably had them resized for my trip report on BWCA.com and used those files.

If you don't have a photo program on your computer that will resize your photos down to the size for 1200 x 900 pixels or some such size with still having a good resolution, you should try to find one.  I am not really tech-savvy about photo programs--must confess that I am still using an old 2000 program on some of these functions because "it works for me".

But some patience is probably required, regardless.   Wink

This tutorial MIGHT help in loading more than a few pics in a timely fashion, IF your having problems?

ALL Windows should allow you to ZIP (compress files) and in turn, OPEN them as well.

I'm assuming db can open them, at least I hope he can?

Spartan2,

I think you're right about the size of the files being the big problem.  For some reason it never used to be a problem.  Like you, in the past I've been able to send 4-7 pics attached to an e-mail & then, eventually, they would go through.  Something has changed so that now my server balks at it.  Using ST's instructions, I tried to send a ZIP file but no dice, it still balked.  Using yet another ST solution (sent via PM), I tried another active Google e-mail account.  There, at least, Google immediately offered up a solution for sending such a large file.  It offered & I accepted to have it automatically generate a "link" to a Google ZIP file that it would create.  Well, after about 20 minutes or so, the 17 pics loaded up and I tried to send the message.  Again, I get yet another automatic note telling me that "my recipient may not have access to this Drive."  I'm not even sure what that means.  I sent the message, anyway.  Believe me, I'm not holding my breath expecting that db actually receives those pics!

So, I'm not sure if my laptop has a picture "resizing" application.  Maybe tomorrow I'll feel more motivated to try to figure this technical stuff out.  Just now, however, the sentiments expressed by Old Salt in his earlier post have gotten the better of me.

I hope to feel otherwise tomorrow.

Worst case scenario, I'll send them in to db... one e-mail at a time!

Thanks for all the help & suggestions!

This thread seems to be where all of the current discussion is on posting and resizing photos is taking place.  So this is where you have to put up with me while I clog up the discussion with some trial and error.

Solo Tripper was correct in his belief that photos could be loaded at IMGUR.com  in bulk while you go off and have a cold drink or scratch the dogs  ears.  I loaded 15 photos , all around 1.25 to 1.50 MB (files size) All 15 loaded in only 6 minutes.

Now I will see if I can successfully include one photo per post 15 times.  The only text will be a single number in consecutive order.
