Here is what you had that didn't work right.
Code

[img][url=https://imgur.com/rCb98I9][img]http://i.imgur.com/rCb98I9.jpg[/img][/url][/img]

Here's what you want if you want to display the image and also have it be a link.
Code
[url=https://imgur.com/uOr3pqs][img]http://i.imgur.com/uOr3pqs.jpg[/img][/url]

[url=https://imgur.com/rCb98I9][img]http://i.imgur.com/rCb98I9.jpg[/img][/url]

Basically [url=LINK][img]IMAGE[/img][/url]

Looks like a over loaded canoe.  Must be a travel day. That is the foot draining position. Thanks Jim I enjoyed that.

Magic, you would be one of the last persons I would ever accuse of "overloading."

I'll do my best to avoid pics of how MY canoe is loaded!

By the way, as you will see over the course of the next several pics, I have stolen shamelessly from our joint-cache of pictures from our September 2017 trip to Cirrus Lake.

However, this particular pic - I believe - was one of mine.  You're pretty tricky, though... maybe you pulled it off somehow.

I'm looking forward to them too Smiley
Is that a DIY water filter?

ST,

That one is a "Magic Special", so I'll let him comment.

I think I had my own Katadyn Gravity Camp Water Filter going too but, frankly, most of the time I simply paddle 50-100 meters offshore & fill a water bladder.  As it turned out, we DID have a couple days where paddling out to retrieve water was not feasible (fierce winds & waves) so I'm glad we had alternative supply systems... a rare check mark in the "plus side"  column for such a notorious heavy-packer as me.

The reason I asked is my DIY looks similar.

I started out with the filter higher but found for my Sawyer mini-filter it worked better when it had a column of water behind it.

What a way to wake up!   There’s something about the quality of early morning sun light and clear skies in September in Quetico Park;  you just want to sit there and soak in it!  That memory warms me now as I wake up on a Christmas morn with a windchill of 20 below zero....

Merry Christmas!

Jimbo.  Cool

Merry Christmas to all as well Smiley

  Jimbo is right about a Sept trip in the Q.
  Just when the nights start getting colder but the days are still nice for paddling.

No or very little bugs and not many people either.
Fishing can be a little problematic but the start of fall weather makes it worthwhile.
