This looks forbidding.  Solus, did you ever do a trip report for this trip?  I'd love to know the details.

Tom, I just day trip in the winter. Return to my shack and recover with the comforts of a wood stove and a sauna. I ski as often and as long as I possibly can. I cannot conceive of existence without skiing.

Thanks all for the supportive comments.

He lives there, so a trip report isn't necessary.

Sometimes I am a bit envious, Jon.   Wink

Solus,

Are those wolf tracks next to your ski trail?

I'm guessing you are right Solus.  Who else walks behind their nose like that...following the smells and their curiosity?

Though I see wolf tracks on most of my skis these are the tracks of a friend's Australian Shepherd who was thrilled at the relatively firm lake snow and finally being released from the ski track that the deep snow in the woods confined her to.

Across the water seems to be a trough in the snow.  Looks like an otter slide but I can't determine the scale of it.  It appears to be way too large by looking at the tree on the shore but still not sure.

Today's pic has me wishing my scheduled trip this summer was coming just a few weeks later in the season....
