Love that little camera that I carry in a dry bag in my shirt pocket.  It can see a lot of things I cant.

At risk of bragging too much about my shirt pocket camera.  Todays POD was taken in the same spot and the camera was aimed the same direction as day before yesterdays.  The little spit of land in the back ground in todays POD can be seen in the far far background in day before yesterdays POD

Magic,

Would you care to share make and model of your camera?

When film was used I packed a full size SLR, now I have a cheapie digital that is 10 years old.  Maybe I need an upgrade?

My camera is Panasonic Lumex DMC-ZS40.  Although they don’t make a camera with this model number they make several that are very near the same.  My camera has a optical zoom of X30 with image stabilization.  I carry in in SeaToSummit 1L dry bag which fits in large shirt pockets. Look at the DMC-ZS50 or DMC-ZS60 which I think is the same as a DMC-TZ80.

The quality and features of the new digital point and shoot cameras improve every new model year.

If your not a SmartPhone camera person, you can get great little cameras for a reasonable price.

My next purchase camera wise will be a Waterproof camera. Last half dozen trips I use a Samsung digital with 5X zoom. I do like MP just keep it in a waterproof ziplock in my shirt pocket. I have a neck lanyard attached to it so I can't drop or lose it.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Plenty of competitors with similar features, some even cheaper.

I bought an Olympus Tough waterproof pocket camera. I don't have the spec handy, but one thing about WP cameras in general is the lens might be limited how far they'll zoom.

One thing I do like about this camera is I'm able to recharge it with a USB cable and a remote battery pack. My old camera had unique batteries that failed to have much life, especially in the cooler places and times I went.

Ben is in the same place in today’s POD as yesterdays.  Anyone see him?

The water proof camera would be nice but I like the long zoom which they don’t have.

Is Ben way down the lake in the center near the narrows?
