	TomT - A good shot of a great spot! Not far from the lake's LT hole, even though McDougall is primarily known for Smallmouth... of which there would likely be many in those rocks so evident just offshore! Jimbo

	I caught 2 beauties along the shoreline to the north of the island in 30-40 feet. Just around the corner of the penninsula site where I stayed. I would love to spend about 3 days fishing that lake in early June.

	Thanks Lynda. That was a peninsula site on McDougall. One of those magical evenings. What put the cherry on top was having the 3 local loons out front. They all took off on that long running walk on water take off they like to do. Then they flew in tight formation and circled the bay before zooming over the tree tops. These are the moments that keep me coming back year after year.

	TomT - That's another shot of the McDougall site, right? Something about that slanting tree on the wind-blown point is ringing bells in my memory. If so, I once sailed a pink sail powered canoe past that point on a VERY gusty day... and nearly capsized! I can still see my party members on that shoreline, laughing their butts off at my expense. On the other hand, I suspect I STILL hold the Quetico record for "speed" on the water. Too bad I wasn't going in the direction intended. Oh, well.... Jimbo

	TomT. I like the look of that site. I don't mind those windblown sites as long as I can hang my Dry-Fly properly and get close to the firepit. The wind keeps the bugs away, you can fish from shore and you might even see some strange things on the water.

	This site is an island on Fern Lake. The landing is open but there's a nice protected area up top. It's the easternmost island. Great site.

	I stayed on that site on my way out in 2016. Had a couple come by and ask to join me they were too tired to go on. We shared the site and I was gone the next morning before they had breakfast.
